Food Brand Design: Connect Packaging, Content and Commerce

CPG used to win at eye level. Now a sauce brand is a content company with a Shopify account. Packaging, social, and the DTC path have to be one idea.

A jar on a shelf has three seconds. A jar on a phone has a sound on. Food brands that treat social as an ad channel and packaging as a printer job will keep losing to brands that treat both as the product.

Shopify, Attentive, a co-packer, Amazon. The software is how you ship. The brand is why anyone cares.

Packaging is a thumbnail now

Design for the grid first, the aisle second. If the label dies at 200 pixels, it is not a brand. If the unboxing is boring, the ad you paid for ends at the porch.

Recipes are not content. They are distribution.

The food brands that last teach people how to live with the product. That is film, photography, a site that is a kitchen not a catalogue, and a voice that could not be another oat milk.

The brand job

One centre that holds the pack, the ads, the site, and the emails. Motion that makes flavour feel visible. We build food brands as systems, not as a logo stuck on a pouch.

Plan your next step

Explore brand identity design, video production and e-commerce development to connect packaging with the online buying experience.
